Computing Renaissance
Imagine your computer desktop looked however you wanted it to.
Imagine choosing your own colors, labels, descriptions, and links, including social networking solutions like friendfeeds and messaging.
Advancing technology is making that freedom more accessible to the average computer user, but computing is still juggling varied tools amid a sea of options.
While technology is imperfect, we balance freedom of choice with ease of use. Unlimited choice and ease of use is plainly preferable; that is the direction we should demand.
Ideal solutions require minimum configuration time and maximum resulting efficiency, without requiring conformity to a limited set of options.
Easy solutions which put choice in the hands of the individual leave more time for creative pursuit — the result of which is renaissance.
