The following are links to products and companies that I recommend. I am an affiliate seller for these products and companies, so if you buy after clicking on them, I get paid a commission — but it doesn’t cost you any more to do it this way than it would otherwise; in some cases you can save money via these links.

I have a choice of many, many companies and products to choose from – and these are a few I feel I can honestly recommend:

Adobe

CS4 Design Premium

Adobe’s suite of products are top of the line. I use Photoshop for image editing, logo design, and art; Soundbooth for audio editing, mixing, and recording; After Effects for video editing and 2D animation; InDesign for page layout/publishing and PDF export, and Bridge for organizing photos. The Creative Suite is powerful stuff. Highly recommended for the aspiring content specialist.

Internet Security

ZoneAlarm Internet Security Suite 2010 – Save 50%

ZoneAlarm is time-tested and well respected Internet security solution. Compare to Macafee and Norton, ZoneAlarm started out small and free. There’s still a free version, but many still find the pro upgrade worth the price.

Pool Dawg has a variety of pool accessories — for the most part at reasonable prices.
Shop books, electronics, and more at Amazon.com Don’t get (as) ripped off on textbooks. Buy used online at Amazon. Amazon sells new and used all kinds of stuff, from computers & DVD’s to books and software.
Save up to 90% + get FREE Shipping VistaPrint offers a wide variety of office and small business printing solutions at great prices, famous for their offer of 250 color custom business cards where you pay only the cost of shipping.
Professional Hosting from Just Host JustHost – has a very low monthly cost, with a 1 year minimum signup. You get a free domain name for life, which means you don’t have to pay the $10-15 a year to keep the address ‘yourwebsite.com’; it’s included in the monthly cost. With JustHost, you can host unlimited domains too – if it turns out you want several websites. You have to buy the extra domain addresses, but you don’t have to pay an additional monthly charge. I use JustHost, and customer service leaves something to be desired (all too common these days), but I feel I get what I pay for.

HostGator – HostGator’s basic package is $8.95/month if you pay by the month, or $4.95/month if you pay 3 years up front. I have not personally used HostGator, but have a friend who just switched to them. From what I can tell in my research they are reputable and reliable.

If you have any trouble with these companies please let me know.

The last thing I want to do is refer you to a bad experience!

And do shop around! I want you to get the best deal. No sense me making money when you’re paying more than you have to!
